StreetSaverOnline Video Tutorial
The staff at AMS Consulting had performed many implementations and updates to pavement management systems to Jurisdictions throughout the State of California and the common issues for not having an updated pavement management system were due to the lack of training and support provided by the software vendors. AMS created video tutorials available on the AMS Consulting website that offers instructional videos on updates/changes to the pavement management system, creating scenarios, reporting, functionality, and other helpful hints. The videos gave instant access to specific users anytime from anywhere; training programs specific to staff responsibilities; and one-on-one videos that can be watched over and over again.
No wasted time – Users are able to access the online video tutuorials at any time for immediate assistance with the StreetSaverOnline® application. Time is not wasted waiting for returned emails or phone calls.
They're convenient – No airlines; no travel; no time away from the office. Users can access the videos from anywhere at anytime.
Individually trained – An unlimited number of users within a department can have access to the videos. With the online tutorials, each user can get the one-on-one training that they would need to fulfill their responsibility and learn at their own pace.
Increased productivity and self-sufficiency – These short video tutorials will help increase staff’s confidence in using their pavement management system resulting in a more efficient and effective pavement management program.
Reduce training costs – Consultant fees for one-on-one training on how to operate the software and run reports can cost a jurisdiction from $2,000 to $7,500. With staff turn-over and constant responsibility changes it can be very costly to jurisdictions for training new individuals. In addition to training new users, old users often have to be retrained secondary decreased retention over time. With the online video tutorials, jurisdictions will save on training costs and users can go back and re-watch the videos whenever needed for immediate assistance.
