"Green" or "Sustainable" buildings utilize key resources such as
energy, water, materials and land more efficiently than
buildings that are not "Green." The United States Green
Building Council (USGBC), a nonprofit organization composed of
leaders working to advance buildings that are environmentally
responsible, profitable and most of all healthy places to live
and work; developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design (LEED) System to provide a guideline and rating system
for green buildings.
At AMS Consulting, our staff of LEED® AP
specialists for new construction and existing buildings provide
consulting services with every aspect of the USGBC LEED® Certification.
We provide technical assistance in the areas of site selection,
water efficiency, energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions,
and indoor air quality and materials.
Our services include an assessment of our clients needs,
implementing plans to meeting certain requirements; LEED
Building Audits; overseeing LEED® documentation;
administering the roles and responsibilities in LEED® Certification
Online; and developing maintenance and operations policies with
the goal of maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing
environmental impacts.
